Methods Used For Sewer Lateral Inspection

There are various methods adopted by cities to maintain and inspect sewer laterals.  There must be careful assessments and recordkeeping to determine the necessity of rehabilitating and repairing a sewer line.  If infiltration is a significant issue within your system, it is almost guaranteed that private laterals are a part of the problem. An issue for most municipalities when considering development of a lateral rehabilitation program is whether the cost and effort of the program can be justified by the potential public benefit (e.g., reduced treatment costs, reclaiming capacity, and avoiding sewage overflows). There are numerous examples of municipalities that have implemented an infiltration reduction program and many of them have included private laterals.  There are standard means of detection for problematic areas of the sewer structure, as well as alternative means of discovery.  The differing techniques for detection include: building inspections that will identify uncapped cleanouts.  Smoke testing, which will uncover defective service laterals.  Dye water flooding is an alternate means of discovering faulty pipes and pressure testing will identify both passive and active leaks.  Laterals may also be rehabilitated at the same time as mainline segments, as was done in Nashville. Perma-liner has some good news!!  We are introducing a zero down, no payments for 90 days on our state of the art 22 foot Perma-Main Turn Key Trailer.  We also include training for this trailer system.  This is our Top Gun system that can rehabilitate 6”-10” diameter pipelines.  There are many other points to consider when using this this powerhouse for installation purposes.  A project that is consists of three installations each approximately 500 ft. can be completed in 3 days versus the 9 day time frame for a conventional dig.  To find out more about this package deal, call us or go online to...

Memphis, there are many pipes and sewer lines made of cast iron , especially in older homes, and these can corrode over time causing constant leaks and repair needs. Tree root intrusion is another common cause of sewer damage. Memphis, you can reline the pipe without digging trench, which has been the traditional method used to repair or replace sewer lines. With Perma-Liner we give you the option of installing a new lining inside your existing pipes requires very little digging or intrusion. Perma-Liner has contractors in your area of Memphis that will clean the pipes that are to be relined. We will also video scan to make sure all debris or clogs are removed before we begin the installation. Once the pipes are clean , we insert a fabric tube that has been treated with the lining materials into the pipe to cover the entire length of the damaged pipe.  We would inflate the tube while lining materials dry and harden. The end result is a smooth an durable lining that can withstand structural and external stress, and  with your landscape looking like new also!
